Installing Television set SDK

This topic describes how to install the Samsung Television SDK.

The Samsung Television set SDK is a prepare of tools for developing applications for Samsung Goggle box, using Tizen. It consists of the post-obit components:

Tizen Studio IDE
Idiot box Simulator
TV Emulator
Web Inspector

To work with the Samsung TV SDK, yous must install:

Tizen Studio IDE
Samsung Tv set Extensions
Samsung Certificate Extension

Prerequisites

Before installing the Samsung Television set SDK, brand sure that your development computer fulfills the hardware and software requirements.

Installing Tizen Studio

To install the Tizen Studio IDE:

Download and run the [Tizen Studio] installer.
Accept the software license.
The license contains important legal notices for using the Tizen Studio. Read it in total, and click "Take" merely if you concord with the license statement.

Set the SDK and information location.
The Tizen Studio and its data directory are installed in the location specified in the "Installation Settings" step. To change the directory, click the "..." button and specify a new directory. If the new directory is valid (no errors are shown), click "Install".

Wait while the Tizen Studio is installed.
Once you click Install, the installer installs the required packages and tools in the specified directory. You can monitor the installation process or abolish the installation. The installation process is completed in a few minutes, unless you lot cancel it.
Install boosted tools.
After the installation is finished, launch the Package Director by checking the "Launch the Packet Manager" check box earlier clicking "Finish".

The Package Manager launches. If the Bundle Manager does not launch, run "<install path>/package-manager/package-manager.exe".

Installing Required Extensions

Yous can install the required extensions using the online repository. If your firewall settings do non allow y'all to admission the repository, you can also install the extensions from local images.

To install the extensions using the online repository:

In the Package Manager, select the "Extension SDK" tab.

Click "install" adjacent to "TV Extensions-<version>" and "Samsung Certificate Extension".

Accept the software licenses.
The licenses comprise important legal notices. Read them in total, and click "Have All" only if y'all agree with the license statements.
Wait while the extensions are installed.

To install the extensions from local images:

Download the post-obit images:
- Samsung Tv set Extensions
- Samsung Certificate Extension (straight download)
In the Packet Director, click "Configuration".

Unfold the Extension SDK configuration panel by clicking "Extension SDK" at the bottom of the dialog box.

To add a local prototype, click "+".

The "Add Repository" dialog opens.
Enter values to the "Name" and "Repository" fields.
Enter the full path of the SDK image file in the "Repository" box, or click "..." next to the field to open up the file browser and select the paradigm file.
Click "OK" to close the "Add Repository" dialog.

When y'all select the epitome file in the repository listing, the image'south origin information is displayed.
Click "OK" to ostend.

Select the "Extension SDK" tab.
Click "Install" side by side to the added extensions.
Accept the software licenses.

Wait while the extensions are installed.
